Chancellor Kremlin
Does it work? I have searched the net with people saying it does and others saying it doesn't, or that there is a patch that *should* be available, yet I cannot find it. I have dosbox running. Would it work with this in 64bit vista? THanks.
Gimli
If you have the DOS version, it will work. The Windows version doesn't, but there's a patch by BladeFireLight that works for some people.

It opens a 'browser' window, and I click on the 'TFTD.exe' link and it starts working, but I get an error message. Where can I get the dos version of X-Com? Gimli
Can you make a screenshot of the error message and the root folder of the game? The DOS version of TFTD will soon be available on Steam as an update to the current game already there.
Chancellor Kremlin
Can you make a screenshot of the error message and the root folder of the game? The DOS version of TFTD will soon be available on Steam as an update to the current game already there. Hi Gimli, thanks for trying to help me. Here are the screenshots: The root foler is J:\Terror\TFTF\xcom2.exe http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1910/tftdpm4.jpg What I get when I click on xcom2.exe is a big black screen, no sound, nothing. It only gives me the 'x-com has stopped working' message if I click or press any button. Now, if I use the xcom2fix.exe patch/thingie it asks me to locate the executable. I find xcom2.exe, click on it, screen goes black as if going into game (same as above), but then quits and gives me this message: http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/6533/patchcodetimedoutgk7.jpg Hope that helps.
