It would be a ground combat squad outfitting suggestion tool. Ultimately we would create a database where each record corresponds to a particular situation and a front end tool would navigate to the record and present it. At this point we need suggested criteria so I'll start with a list.

Hard Criteria (must be filled out)
Mission type
Terrain
lighting level
alien race
UFO type

Soft Criteria (if you dont fill it out the tool will for you)
Craft
Experience level of soldiers

Any thoughts?

Stew -

I like the idea a lot. Along a similar line, it would also be cool if you could just save the weapons/gear loadout that you give each individual soldier, so that then you could do it once and they would have that for each mission. If you could make a tool to do what you suggest, is this also possible?

Abot your idea though, how wold that work? I mean, how would you categorize particular situations, and the correct loudout for them?

Thanks,
Gold

No actual game file manipulation simply a readout on your screen. Basically the front end points to a particular record in the database. That record describes a particular squad layout for a particular situation.

So back to the original question: comments on the criteria por favor.
