Serge
You don't have much memory on this machine, probably the game can run out of it. Just to be sure, did you try launching it in minimal configuration without installing any data files from x-com?

I didnt found the minimal requirements stated anywhere. in what other changes to .ini file, can i get the game more minimalistic?
Jezulkim
You don't have much memory on this machine...Just a note: I could run the game on a machine with win98 + 333mhz p2 + 64 ram + sucky graphics card = the game ran great. EDIT: in what other changes to .ini file, can i get the game more minimalistic? In case you haven't tried these:resolution: use the lowestscreen_x_res = 640screen_y_res = 480colours: 16 bit, I think it's the lowestcolor_depth = 16musics: comment out all lines -> #menu_music = $(ufo2000)/newmusic/xcom.mid And one more thing, how clean is your ufo2000 install? Have you installed any mods? EDIT2: Ok, I did a fresh install of ufo2000 on my old windows 98 computer. Xcom and Tftd NOT included. I started the game and it ran nice and smooth. Jezulkim
Enabling the enlarged battlefield can take your fps higer, but you'll have bigger tiles. Many people don't like that. oh well I do. You can enable it in game: options > enlarged battlefieldOr directly editing the ini: F_SCALE2X =
