ATeX
Hi! I've been composing today for about 6 hours. One thing has become very clear to me. The main theme is very hard to finish if u want it to be perfect. I've got about 4 unfinished versions right now and none of them satisfies. Bummer! So I got fed up with it and did a little bit of sound design in Reason. This is the result, menu beeps. I thought they would fit in best when they would be very short. That way you prevent them to become annoying. What do you think? cheers, ATeX
mikker
how can you critice this, i wonder it sounds ok, although the last one is very difficult to hear.
ATeX
how can you critice this, i wonder it sounds ok, although the last one is very difficult to hear. They're not normalised idd. (Which means that the highest peak level of the sound still isn't at 0dB) I tought that would be a bad idea because most of the time loud menu beeps really irritate after a while. But like you said, it's hard to give constructive comment on this without trying it out with a real menu. Maybe we could try implement this with something? -ATeX

red knight
Simple, post in the Xenocide Web task tracker about the defect in the task tracker and assign it to mindstormmaster . He will be able to correct that. GreetingsRed Knight
JakeDrake
Casting my vote for sound #8, I think its a low enough tone not to detract attention or get annoying after a while. Didn't like button 10, sounds too "echo"ey ya know? Nice work though
Xer0
It's funny how simple things like beeps are so important to a game. Personally, I favor sounds #7 and #8. The others are alright, but these two are definitely my picks. Good work on these.
