Multiple Long range sonar bug

i remember the bug for EU that made multiple long range radar at the same base useless

 

although having both a long range and short range was useful

 

did this bug get fixed for Terror

 

are multiple long range sonar useful or useless ?

It's still in the game, but it's not a bug as such. It's how they display the information about the sonar/radar that makes it look like a bug.

 

Currently there's no fix for TFTD, but for UFO there's seb76's Loader which has an option to make the same radar types stack their detection chances.

 

Still, a 20% long and 30% short sonar detection rate is pretty good when you consider the sonar ping for targets every 30 game minutes. They mainly miss enemy ships that are flying along the edges of the sonar detection radius.
