fux0r666
Sounds like the program hangs up. It doesn't sound like a video problem.
Guest HELLBOUND
so what can i do??
[mindstormmaster]
Alpha 4 was the last release using the old engine. We are currently working on migrating to the OGRE engine. Once this conversion is complete, future releases should behave differently, most likely solving whatever problem you are encountering.
Guest hellbound
Yeah that is nice! I find xenocide very interesting, hope you release that version soon
Guest RO€T$
Well i do have a problem. (if you can call it that)when i start up Xenocide, in doesn't start up properly, it stays in desktop but reduces the resolution to that of Xenocide.after pressing soma alt-tab it goes into the program Ok, that's not really a problem, BUT, once i'm in the geosphere, it looks odd.the colors seem odd (unless the earth really does turn green and reed and purple,etc... )But for the rest the ufopedia (i'll just call it that since the real name slipped my mind) and the menu and so seem in order.Maybe it's just my crappy computer. (Mobile Intel Celeron 2.2GHz, 256mbram, Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics controller) Any answers someone??
The Master Maniac
Maybe you need a certain card. Read the requirements: has to be an nVidia or an ATI, if I'm not mistaken. I'm guessing you have integrated video like my old trash heap--er, I mean, computer. You might want to shoot for a video card update, buddy--it'll pay off. You could get a mid-spec nVidia 5950 now for just pennies (sort of). Edited August 24, 2004 by The Master Maniac
[mindstormmaster]
Yes, your Intel Graphics card isn't supported by Alpha 4. However, as we are moving to the OGRE engine, more cards will be supported in the future. Most likely your Intel card will be supported by the OGRE engine and any future versions of Xenocide.
