try to use a stun grapper instead. They are SO easily captured. The problem is, how can you capture a psi morph? -420 health, 85 psionic attack :cussing: -

I have all aliens (except, Queen .... something) They were all easy to get and i got them on my first mission. If they are to strong weaken them a lot eperiment how far you can go, then stun them.

Remember if you want to take to big aliens that you need a heck of alot of containment space.

Good luck

i always have a 2 unit -android- capture team, equipped with dual stun grapples

it's much easier with their sheer speed and godly psi strength

Yes, capturing psi-morph is also hard, but easier, than popper, IMHO. The problem with capturing psi-M is that you need Mothership crashed. The trouble with popper that he explode when wake up from stun.

i dedicate a soldier -equipped with a stun grapper- next to stunned aliens,
if he has a high reaction, it'll be OK :bash:

Psi-morph are easy to capture with androids. Also you need one human with good psionics (i have one with psidef=98) to check the health of morph.

Human with a psi defence of 98? :o :o :o
i have marsec machineguns and stun grapper with my androids.
Marsec machineguns don't do critical hits against psi-morphs, so they don't bleed to death when i am trying to complete the mission...
Also machineguns drop their health, and i have a easy time capturing them

Not human, hybrid sectoman. And 60 accuracy and 44 reactions. And psiatt/psienergy = 81/70

as i am reading through your strategy, you sort of strategize like i do, Brute.

anyway, poppers are easy compared to others.

remember to fly about two floors up and stun it with dual grapplers.

psi morphs are also easy.

just do the same as above.

chase the flier with your flier (by the way, use an android).

the hard part is finding out the psi morph's not alone, and skeletoids start beaming at your agent.

in that case, use your other agents to destroy the "excess" aliens first.

it always works, whether it is a micronoid or even a megaspawn.

their morale goes down so low that it is easy to stun them.

there is a tip for stun ailen,

if you stun an ailen, send a unit to stand on it's body, and it will not get up until mission end

Realistically, that works. The alien is being sat on by a big guy/gal/robot in heavy armour, so they aren't exactly going to be going anywhere soon!

megaspawns aren't hard to stun i have two squads one a diversionary and one the actuall stun team the first quad throws three stun grenades and draws the beast's attention hopefully luring it out into a open area. Then the stun team goes in and fires with auto cannons and two people with stun grapples make the attempt I find it works well though its expensive.

Capturing a megaspud is fairly easy, give him a few smoke grenades and use a cloaking device. You can stand right in the next square and keep firing at it with whatever you prefer, he can't see you. (Use damaging weapon first, then grapple, DON'T drop the cloak.) If the smoke starts to disperse, drop another smokenade at your feet and you are safe again. However if there are other aliens around the megaspud will fire at you if ANY alien sees you. Thus i prefer downed battleship as the megaspawns are usually cowering last survivors still inside when rest of the crew has valiantly tried to run my blockade at front door.

As for the popper, when lone one approaches your line of defence, switch to stun and there you go. It is just a question of accuracy and number of grapples.
