I downloaded the demo today and fired it up.

WOAH! My ship maneuvers way too fast. No sooner do I see a UFO coming on to my screen from the left than it's off to my right. No problem, I remember seeing something about changing sensititivity in the joystick settings.

So, I go adjust it. But it doesn't seem to be working; the red bar doesn't move. And indeed, when I go back in to combat again, it's just as bad.

Are the UFOs just moving fast? If so, I'm not sure I want this game. I haven't gotten more than 1 kill, and that was with some good/lucky aiming when shooting at it as we approached each other from a k or so away.

If it's not the UFOs, any idea how to adjust joystick sensitivity in the demo?

No sooner do I post than I find the answer. While the game doesn't recognize my Dvorak mapping in combat, it seems it does in the menu.

Looks like I'm going to have to turn it way down to get some maneuvering control. :)

meh, i wouldn't know, i use the keyboard, much easier imo. you'll probably break your joystick as you try to follow the ufos with their randomly changing paths and insane speed which none of your ships will ever reach :P

too bad, now you will never know the ancient secrets of supsupers long gone avatar ;)

Heh. :) The keyboard is way too sensitive though. I can only get the fine maneuvering I need to aim worth anything by using the totally desensitized joystick.
