Greetings.

Well, before i hadnt had teleporters, now i cannot get nonhumans to be hired.
I'm playing on superhuman.
I can only hire humans, ever. I dont have self or that other corp in hostile or unfriendly list, and i dont have any alien controlled corps. But still, its month 2 already, aliens have entropy and stealth, but i never seen any android or mutant pop up for recruitment.
Do i need better than neutral to be able to recruit those?
Or what do i do?

Tried a new superhuman game.
It seems that at day one (march 7) i can have a chance of hybrid/android being available for recruit.
But then after that, only humans shop up...

The new soldier roster is randomly adjusted every day at 00:00:00am, just after the end-of-day report. It's random so sometimes there may not be any apparent changes.

The important thing is to keep SELF and Mutant Alliance in non-hostile relations. Hybrids and Androids unfortunately have a very low chance of being generated compared to humans.

If you really need to hire some soon, you can save just before the end of the day, go past midnight and check the new recruit roster. If there aren't any hybrids/androids, reload and try again a few times.

Neutral relations with self and mutant alliance aren't good enough, they need to be at least friendly.

Can anyone confirm if i need neutral or more, and if standing affects the chance/amount of them recruited?
I have recently stumbled upon another mutant and now i have total three mutants in my team by the day 8 of the game.
I never saw ANY android up for recruiting. Relationships with both orgs are neutral for me and always been.

I remember when i played this game long ago, i always had plenty of android an mutant recruits, in fact, they were pretty even and i had hard time getting humans (since i didnt like androids/hybrids). Well now i wanna play with them and i have hard time again, isnt it a fun coincidence?

I get plenty of hybrids/robots having neutral with the related organizations. I suspect relation doesn't even matter for them showing up as long as you don't have hostilities with them.

I'm fairly certain I still got them appearing in all but hostile relations. New ones, I mean, not the ones that were already on the roster.

Wish I had a PC that could run the game (won't work in Dosbox on my current PC), would like to run some tests on that.

Well, in this new game i'm playing i have fairly abundand amount of hybrids now. It was just unlucky on first days. But androids NEVER EVER show up. I guess it must be some really hard-to-trace glitch that occurs rarely. May have something to do with me doing ~50 restarts (i wanted to get a starting building in northwest corner, but after seeing only 3 options pop up constantly and nothing more, i settled with the least vulnerable of the big slums)

BTW, isnt Dosbox a virtual environment? How can it "not start a game on my PC", i mean, doesnt it only cares if you have enough computing power to emulate enough cycles?

Apocalypse will start then jump straight back to the command prompt in Dosbox. Even after tweaking the Dosbox settings as well as switching off the game's music/sounds, it crashes back the prompt. Same thing happens if I try to run it outside of Dosbox.

I have a feeling my laptop's display adapter is at fault here.

Well, i'm not expert at that.
I have experienced same results since i forgot to copy my movie files, and then i have experienced crash right after the movie since i have changed CD ROM letter. But i think you checked for common stuff like that already.

Would be strange for display driver to crash with xcoma but not with other dosbox ran games?
Did you try lastest (0.74) dosbox?
It really improved the preformance for me because before i had crappy mouse and music and stuff in X-Com Apocalypse and now its all perfect!

Had SELF neutral to unfriendly for the whole game, and neutral mutant alliance for the whole game, and allied since the farm building in alien dimension.

I got one hybrid and two robots somewhere around week 2, and since then had nobody else but humans.

Personal teleporters are not appearing for me either - difficulty is one or two step below superhuman, and Im on alien control center mission already (that red mushroom-shaped building) with a 7 annihilators and C-toxin.
