Coroder
Hi guys, I tried having a look through the forum for this but I havent seen anything specific to the steam version of the game along with this mod/patch/loader. I run the ufoloader and it switches to fullscreen but fails to display any graphics although I can hear the sound from the intro loading. I know that steam runs it through dosbox but the ufo loader doesnt want to load up in dos. Any suggestions guys?
Zombie
At least in my testing version of X-COM from steam, the gold executable is included. In my system, it's found here: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\xcom ufo defense\XCOM. Dump Seb's loader in there and you should be good to go. - Zombie

I am, however, running Windows 7 x64 just now. Might that be problematic? Thanks for the help so far, Zombie. [Edit] If I apply the graphics fix for Vista it loads and plays but the graphics are garbled and flash the wrong colours etc etc. Edited December 8, 2009 by Coroder

Not sure if that's compatible, but I'd give it a shot nonetheless. - Zombie

Not sure why that stuck with me rather than the proper name for it though! It's a shame, I was loving it with xcomutil and its great. But UFOExtender would have been the icing on the cake! Time to steal my laptop back from my parents and test it on that methinks. Thanks again.
Soyoki
Are you having anything else runto open X-Com, such as dosbox? With the UFO Loader app, you don't need to run Dosbox, but I would recommend changing the D3D settings under the -Mod- section. Just have UFO Loader point to UFO Defense.exe
