lavedon
Hello, I recently purchased the direct2drive version of X-com. It is basically just the dos version running in dosbox. It works great, but I'm trying to move my save games to my laptop. I copied all the folders and files but on my laptop all the saved game slots are blank. The only file in each game folder is dum.bin Thanks in advance for any help, much appreciated! Best, Luke
BladeFireLight
If D2D places the games in the program files, doset reset the permissions like STEAM does, and your useing Vista or Win7. your saved files are in the virtual directory. from a command prompt type cd %userprofile%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore start .that last command is start [space] [period] that will open a explorer window of the current directory. OR open your user folder by clicking your username in the start menu. Turn on show hidden files and open "AppData" then "Local" then "VirtualStore" from there open the "program files" or "program files (x86)" and the sub-folder D2D places stuff. you will find only files that were modified.
