Very Interesting Fix...

Ok this is the freakiest thing I ever saw. I got fed up with DOSbox's slow, choppy performance I wasn't about to cut half the game's fun by turning off sound and music so I decided to go on the web and download the CE of TFTD and you know what I found a copy that worked I haven't tried a mission yet I'll do that in a few minutes my only remaining problem was that the guy who posted it to begin with had only the still intro I said to myself "Bloody heck!" now I was preparing to beat the stuffing out of my cumputer but I looked down at my old DOS CD version of the game that I have and said to myself the only missing is the ANIM folder I wanted to take my chance what did I have to lose after all? So I copied and pasted the folder to my new CE directory and lo and behold it actually worked. I find this interesting as I was under the impression the DOS and CE versions were completely incompatible but I guess that doesn't matter with the videos huh?
