Junkhead
I was thinking, what if you could code your own gamemodes into UFO2000? The devs could implement LUA or Python or something for it, and allow people to make their own crazy modes. I think that would add alot of replayability to the game. Blood Angel
Aye. A CTB would be good. Of course, one would need to create a "base" tile. The bag would be a pickup randomly placed in the middle of the map (unless specified by maker in the LUA) and to win you'd have to put the object on the ground in the same tile as the base. Blood Angel
I've got it. You could have a vehicle on the map. You know, like an avenger? and when you put the body on the vehicle and abort, you win? Similar coding to the stuff in XCom.
Sporb
you guys should grab a copy of the source and get familiar with it - programming is a good skill and its not 'SO' hard to learn. youll eventually enjoy it (or else! J/K) and you will be able to do anything you want Edited February 2, 2006 by Sporb
Junkhead
And, it would add more replayability to the game. Also, I think it would be a good idea to have a map/LUA downloader built into the game, that way, if you play against someone with a different map than you, or a different gamemode, you can DL it from them. I've only programmed in TI-BASIC, but I enjoyed it quite a bit.
