Sporb
why not develop more creatures? the more the merrier. Also remember that not everyone has TFTD & UFO:EU so that automatically rules a large portion of units out. Not to mention the fact that half the units arent supported anyway. The more units developed for the core game, the more units that will always be universally avaliabla to all players on install. The more units developed for the core game, the more units that will always be universally avaliabla to all players on install. More creatures would be awesome. For starters, perhaps make 5 alien units to start out with, then make 6 terror units later on, after that point, then endlessly make more. However, making units may take alot of time and effort so we may need a couple of artists to make that many in a decent amount of time. Ok,with "no more Creatures"I meant only....the most don´t become to Ufo2000 But I want awing... Thx for the Post Tftd suits are not available because we have much higher priorities like preparing for the next stable release and making ufo2000's own graphics which is way more important than adding tftd stuff. I do not think we are putting in tftd stuff anytime soon. Edited August 1, 2006 by Plasma
Brick-To-Face
...why not develop more creatures? the more the merrier...Chryssalids please! It would be nice if creatures had an option to use their "special" powers. Chryssalids could infect, reapers could reap, celatids could clone, mutons could... eat flesh or something. That would be cool, eat flesh (corpses) to regenerate health and stamina. Zombies could... zomb? No psi obviously. Oh, and silacoids should be able to self destruct into an incendiary explosion of doom! I can just see one of those guys dropping off a rooftop. Smells like burnt... ME! Oh crap! John Faust
It would not work at the current stage of the game, instead you would have to make a weapon to emulate each item, say a grenade that took up 101% of the time units to throw, and 50% to prime, if you do any of the weaponset creation, i would be curious to see what you would do. And as far as I know, no weapon has healing effects, this was just a fantasy/idea of mine.
John Faust
Sorry for tap-dancing on your dreams then.... And the grenade was for the silicoid... Edited August 3, 2006 by John Faust
Brick-To-Face
Sorry for tap-dancing on your dreams then....Meh, I don't expect this stuff any time soon, maybe in version 1.x.x (current is 0.7.1062), MAYBE. I hope to start contributing to this project once I get through college (comp science major), since I'm a little dissatisfied with the pace of this mammonth train. Not that the programmers aren't doing a good job, there are just too few of them. And the grenade was for the silicoid...Yeah, something like a cross between IC grenade and a HE pack.
