Heavy Plasma

is'nt the heavy plasma supposed to have auto shot, cuz im sure it did, but jus today i have noticed mine does not, and im also sure i have ben hit by heavy plasma autoshots

I was under the impression autoshot had been removed for balance reasons, although I can't confirm as I've yet to get the darn game running. Ho hum.

It depends on which weapon set you are using. Yes, auto shot was removed for balance purposes on X-com Modified. You can still play the original setup of weapons on 'X-com Original'. Just hit F5 while in the equipment screen and select which one you prefer. Of course, you'll have to get your opponent to agree to the weapon set change due to that any weapons that are in your arsenal from a different set aren't allowed.

 

If you believe you witnessed a Heavy Plasma soldier use auto shot with X-com Modified, try to remember that the other player may also be carrying another weapon in the other hand that does, such as a plasma pistol.

Hi there,

I think the opponent that steelsoldier was mentioned is me (I almost sure we played two matches yesterday (he as steel)- but maybe I'm wrong).

It wasn't a Heavy Plasma gun autoshots - but autoshots only from Plasma Rifles and Plasma Pistols. I think he wasn't aware of power and value of Plasma Rifle so that's why he thought it was Heavy Plasma (Plasma Rifle costs more points than Heavy Plasma so it MUST be better ) Couple of my soldiers got Heavy Plasma too (I think, can't remember), but it is good gun for other purposes (not autoshooting).

P.S. If steelsoldier mentioned about someone else, that's my mistake

ok thx, yeah i meant Intri must of been the plasma rifles
