Emperor Clobbersaurus Posted March 10, 2010 Share Posted March 10, 2010 A unit's race should also affect its minimum and maximum stats, in addition to armour and whether or not it's flight capable. For example, a Chryssalid would have incredibly high Strength, TU and Energy, but minimal throwing and firing accuracy. The point cost of a race would be proportionate to its net increase (or decrease) in stats as compared to a T-Shirt trooper. Furthermore racial abilities like the Chryssalid's melee and zombification attacks would be highly desirable. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

For example, Chryssalids spend 3 time units moving one tile while humans spend 4 time units. Also terrain modifiers may not affect flying units (Floaters, Ethereals and humans in flying armor), they may spend equal number of TUs for movement over intact and destroyed road.
