Game Crash

Well the title says it all really but ill give some additional details. I am playing TFTD with Xcomutil for some time now (it is September now). And the game keeps crashing at 8 September 20:00. No matter what I do, its not a construction site finishing, or manufacture/research project completion.

 

Does anyone know if this is preventable other then reloading an older save?

If it's not any of those, then it's possibly being caused by an enemy sub appearing at that time. Might be some corruption in the mission scheduling or the data for a USO itself may be messed up.

What would be the way to fix this? copy a mission.dat from a new game?

It might be best to make a copy of your game before copying a different mission.dat file in. If you have a save from a few months prior, try using a copy from that.

 

If all else fails, you could try uploading the save file and one of us could have a look at it. I'm not especially familiar with the files pertaining to the mission generation, but there should be enough information on the wiki to fix the problem if it does relate to the mission scheduling or the subs.

That will be problematic, I am not really known for my patience and just reinstalled the game. It was my first TFTD game and I made some research priority mistakes at the start. Should it ever happen again I will check if a new mission.dat works. Thanks for your help!
