I made this topic in the lobby section.
We have an official group in facebook, do a search for "ufo 2000" ... many of us use facebook and since theres millions of people there, we can get new people to join.
If you need assistance, post in here.

with the use of social sites becoming more popular, we can put a plugin on the official ufo 2000 page to the facebook.. we can have more players that way...

Seems to be not accessible without having a facebook account. Is this on purpose?

I mean there seem to be at least two barriers for the new users. One of them is the need for a facebook account to even have a look what is this group about. If somebody does not have a facebook account yet, then it's full stop. Why would anybody want to bother registering an account for a pig in a poke? The second barrier is the need for approval to join and participate in the group activities. It looks to me more like a closed ufo2000 elite club with just a few members after the first glance :)
