[[Micah]]
I apologize to any real human who registered in the last 40 days, but I deleted all new member registrations for that time period because 98% of the last 900 registered accounts were spam bots. From here I'll be monitoring each new registration so rest assured that if you re-register your account, you can be confident it will not be arbitrarily deleted again
Darkhomb
I haven't checked if its enabled, but can you throw a captcha on there? (Yes I know it was Jan, I've been gone. Doesn't mean we can't keep the forum updated) Edited May 20, 2011 by Darkhomb
[[Micah]]
All the captchas available to IB forums are easily circumvented by bots. I've gone a step further than what the opening post mentions... now I manually approve every registration
Fomka
X-COM/UFO2000 forums are under bot attack.Russian forum's administrator seems to found out a solution. He set up text confirmation upon registration. 4 days without new bots up to this moment (http://www.xcomrus.com/conference/viewtopic.php?p=3117#p3117). Visual confirmation does not work. [[Micah]]
Yep, soon as I quit being lazy, a text question seems the way to go.
