I was thinking about starting a superhuman ironman videochallenge in tftd.

Should I also play without MCs? Last time I played tftd (experienced) I had to stop cos it got too easy with 2 skilled MCs. I could control almost any alien I encountered.

If anybody wants to join the fun as an aquanaut, just reply to this topic, with preferred equipment mentioned.

PS: and Iwe never made it to the Tleth. Once many many years ago I got to the point where I could click the Tleth button with my Leviathan but it only crashed my game. This time Im thinking to buy and install a clean version from Steam and only apply some bug fixes from the xcom utils.

You probably only need to apply the TFTDv2 patch if you're planning to play the Dos executables in Dosbox. Beyond that, lots of the bugs that XComutil was made to fix in UFO aren't a major problem in TFTD. You'd only really need it if you wanted to use the XComutil specific changes, like the modified gauss weapons, the tanks, the XComutil base layout, auto re-equip, auto naming, etc.

MC usage - we had a limit of 1 MC Disrupter per transport in a multi commander game and our super soldier had reached the point he could ace missions just by himself if he wanted thanks to MC. Perhaps keep it to one, but set limits on how you can use it. I find it more entertaining to just use MC Readers. However I must admit that it's nice to have the ability to easily mop up the more routine missions later on once you're finalising the last few things you need for the T'Leth mission.

First video is out :D

Its the steam version. I put no patches in it, but I think steam made some automated update on it. No xcom utils.
