yarrow
hi again I found another converter, which I wrote long time agorather than delete it, I will post it hereit was VERY useful when I created polish version of the geoscape screen of ufo <details>it converts to/from ufo 'land1.dat' and 'lang1.bmp' filesif you want to mess with this, you should read details first:http://ufopaedia.org/index.php?title=GEODATA</details> lang1.bmp can be edited via any graphical programto create even more language translations ( after conversion to .dat file of course ) lang1.dat can also be used as lang2.dat ( for multi language )as both files are of the same format in ufo sample lang1.bmp file is included to serve as a base for others( polish version, made by myself ) some suggestions:- if you want to edit bitmaps don't create new colorsonly use the ones that are provided in geobord.bmp/lang1.bmp- I also suggest using GIMP 1.2.5, for editing( yes, it is very old version of gimp, but it doesn't mess with pallete colors ) everything else should be self explanatory for modders hmmmin theory you could replace geobord.bmp pallete with the one used in terror from the deepso you could create terror versions of lang1.dat files happy translating yarrowufo_lang_converter.rar Edited March 18, 2012 by yarrow
