Sorrow
Is it possible?
[NKF]
For facilities, the facil.dat structure has the answers. You can either edit the base costs stored in the geoscape.exe executable so that it generates a facil.dat with these values for every new game created, or if you want it to be different from save to save, you can generate or edit your own facil.dat file and drop it into the save file of choice. Hired troops, scientists, engineers and aircraft I think are a simple percentage of their purchase cost. - NKF
Sorrow
I modified troop and aircraft costs and they monthly costs stayed the same.
kevL's
i think it depends whether you edited Geoscape/Tactical.exe or one of the savegame, local data files. If the latter, changes take place immediately; but if an .Exe is altered, *sometimes* (depending on what yer altering) a new game has to be started, [edit] oh, i see what yer saying ... Sorrow
I guess I'll have to search for these values in Geoscape.exe, then.
Sorrow
1.4 Geoscape offset for: Interceptors:0x2b5caSoldiers0x2b6f4 The problem is that summed costs ignore these values and pretend that there's still the standard value :/ .
kevL's
ack, perhaps those aren't a percentage then, and still have their own values somewhere ... :hmmm: :hmmm: :hmmm:
Sorrow
I mean that they change the monthly cost. It's just that the sum of monthly costs is calculated from yet another entry.
kevL's
oh, that's good to hear The 'sum of costs' table has a known bug(s) and probably requires source code to fix .... /my guess
