gangsta
well you have to be more specific than that with the link. The site looks like a game news site and I didn't see anythign on the front page about a X-Com remake. not gonna go through the whole site.. no time... Anyway just from looking at the front page of the site looks to be about comercial games. Our remake is for the community for free. Anyway I'm not for sure but like I said the link you gave didn't help.

gangsta
Ok I've seen stuff about UFO: Aftermath before. Not sure if it is for me since it will be a realtime game instead of a turned based on. Also didn't like the pics of aliens that I saw. I think the lasthopemod people can make better models than what Aftermath has ... Like I said this remake is for the community for free. So we are not in competition and ours will take awhile to come out.
Devatar
Plus, we are FREE. :alienlol: :alienlol: :alienlol: Besides, we have something they don't. FLEXIBILITY, BABY. After our divinely gifted programmers finish the engine of the game, we can pretty much do anything we want with our x-com. And, since we're open source, we get more feedback, and the ones giving feedback are the ones who make the game themselves. (This does seem to aggravate my worries about copyright laws, though.) Pringle
Plus since Xenocide is opensource it can be continuously developed, even if Red Knight decided to quit the project the game wouldn't end, the community could continue it...

Hey... i bet right here, right now that Aftermath people had used the same texture we are using for their geoscape. But without Bump Mapping Take a look the geoscape image in the Avaults article and the new screenshots... GreetingsRed Knight

Hey found something about companies enforcing copyright to OpenSource... look at http://www.scummvm.org/ and read the news... The company is Lucas Arts...
