Hellblade
Hi all I'm new here and I'm a genuine X-Com freak. Even payed around $20 for the latest evolution in the X-Com series - LaserSquad Nemesis. I'll be frank, my problem is ....... 1. i run the dos version of UFO2. installed the latest version of XcomUtil3. ran XcuSetup4. ran RunXcom5. every XcomUtil feature works .............. except for the "re-equip" my soldiers according to what they had last battle. In fact they just get random equipment as if XcomUtil does not function at all. Simply said, HELP!!!!!!!!!! I believe this is the most important feature of XcomUtil because I don't want to spend 5 minutes equipping my people before every mission. My 200+ soldiers have VERY specified equipment for each PLUS they're fully loaded according to their Strength limit. This is a must cause I'm playing Superhuman level AND I've doubled the aliens Health and Firepower. Extremely difficult but not impossible
nixnihil
Hey, I have a related question to this, but mine goes even further back: how do you even do that at all? I don't know anything about coding and I don't want to bugger up my game. I have XcomUtil downloaded and I want to know how to use the auto equip feature. I'm not really interested in any of the other ones. (yes, I'm a noob at this sort of thing). I'm no programmer, just an Xcom fan!
j'ordos
auto equip feature is normally active each time you run xcom through 'runxcom.bat'/'runxcomW.bat'. Nothing more to it. Bear in mind that ammo and grenades and such still are distributed randomly, I believe. It's not perfect, but the best possible...

Extremely difficult but not impossible I was in Italy for 23 days (my son got married there), so I haven't been able to check for a while. You select AutoEquip in XcuSetup and it should give you the same equipment in the next battle IF you have the same people and the same available equipment. New people and different equipment are distributed by the default rules of the game itself. If this is not happening, let me know EXACTLY what you think is wrong. Guest venvidi
You select AutoEquip in XcuSetup and it should give you the same equipment in the next battle IF you have the same people and the same available equipment. New people and different equipment are distributed by the default rules of the game itself. If this is not happening, let me know EXACTLY what you think is wrong. For me it seems the AutoReequip option does not work (xcomutil 9.7, TftD v2). I activated it using XcuSetup. When entering a Mission, the game assigns equipment unaffected by how I reassigned it in the previous mission. For me it seems that the game just assigns equipment according to some algorythm based on the stats of the soldiers. (I do not have a .eqp file where it might choose from). Did I miss something? Rem: I also run into a problem when I try to use an .epq file. The problem is posted here: http://www.xcomufo.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=242035031 . Don't know if the two problems might actually be related.
