Xcomedit Issues - Proper Path?

I've used this program before for the 1st game (The original version). I just found my copy of TFTD on my collector's CD. When I try to run the tftdedit program (Clarkwehyr Enterprises) it says that the path can not be found. I've tried manually entering the path and I've tried changing the .INI file like it says.

 

The edit program is saved to - C:\CWE\CWXCED

And the game is saved to - C:\Program Files\MicroProse\X-Com Collector's Edition\Terror From the Deep\GAME_1

 

What do I need to set the path as to get this thing to work?

since tftdedit.exe is dos program, you will need path shortened to 8.3 format

 

try this:

C:\Progra~1\Microp~1\X-ComC~1\Terror~1

It has been a while since I used that editor, but shouldn't you be pointing it to the game directory rather than your savegame directory?

Well, unless I'm misdirected, than that is the game directory I am sending it to. The savegame directory is only 1 folder below that. I just put "GAME_1" in there just to show that I do have the save game folder that it's looking for.
