jammers
This is just a little program i made.It generates ufo2000 squads from templates of soldiers, and can export them with random names and such like.Currently its only been tested on linux (as i dont have a windows box) but theoreticaly it should compile on windows (stay tuned for more information), it requires QT and thats it. It has the following features. -- Generating a ufo2000 squad from templates-- Country based name generation-- Importing templates from other squads-- Customiseable name-files-- other stuff there are a few things that arnt on there yet-- Promotions, i hope to have it so that you can rank your soldiers, if you so desier-- Points Calculations, hoppfully it will be able to give you a running tab of the points UPDATE***** Windows version ******* I managed to get it compiling on windows, just one major problem When importing/exporting, you can only import/export squads to the folder where the squad creator is, e.g if your squad creator is in c:\squad creator\ Then export all squads to c:\squad creator\generated.squadand before importing squads, copy them to c:\squad creator\ The exe file is quite large (sorry about that), you can get it from herehttp://www.meodai.ch/data/xcom/squad_gen.rarIf you cant download the file, PM me and i will email it to you since i cant seem to attach it Enjoysquad_gen.tar.gz Edited May 14, 2005 by jammers

jammers
Looks neat, Jammers. Can you add custom profiles?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> If by profiles you mean templates (the ones in the left hand colum), easaly, just make your squad in ufo2000, copy the .squad file to your squad maker directory (if you on windows), and click import. The templates will be named by the unit name. Enjoy Edited May 15, 2005 by jammers
Kratos
Can someone please place this squad maker up for download as a .zip file? I don't unpackage .rar files due to the fact that i don't use winrar or whatever that unpackages .rar files. I would attempt to download it, but I wouldn't want the risk of viruses on my computer. I have already wiped my drive off about a million times to new downloads. The only thing hasn't screwed my computer up yet is these forums' downloads. Blood Angel
Winrar = win. Easy interface, more reliable than the windows one, doesn't crash when you're trying to extract something bigger than 500mb.
Sporb
sometimes .RAR files fluff during download - this can result in a false rar with incoorect contents , pisses me off
