everyone remember how much of a pain the old weapon load screens were.

Solution: create load templates. When the game is installed there are a few default templates (sniper, gernade thrower, etc) as well as slots for additional templates. The templates would look like the load screen and you simply design what weapons (and possibly what armor) they have, as well as the name for the template. Then in the soldiers screen you assign each soldier to one of these types, based on their stats. When you go on a mission they are by default loaded with whatever their type is. Later in the game people will create templates for their psionic users and blaster bombers.

Concerns:
It is important not to sacrifice the attachment to the soldiers, the biggest crime that could be done would be to replace their names entirely with their template, people worry more about jack smith then they do about sniper 1. To this end I think the persons template should be only a minor footnote in their stats screen. During the mission people can know who to use for a task by their name or what they have equipped.

No but inate weapon procrate mods like bloodfrenzy dont effect augs just the inate proc is that right?.
