mare
I got the Osiron corp. infiltrated to about 60%, and now even though i have made checks in every building they have the raiting stays the same or dromp for about 5%. I have also checked nearby buildings for aliens and all show nothing. However the aliens keep taking over the corp, sometimes the infiltration spikes to 100% after i have maide an investigation of alien activity. What can i do to get the raiting down towards 0. Thanks in advance.
alok
For me, when I clear out every building of an infiltrated org, it takes some time until this counter goes to zero, but eventually it goes, try saving and letting time pass, so you'll know if this will happen in your game too. That's it, good luck!
[dipstick]
I am afraid you have lost the alliance to the aliens. Once infiltration passes 50% the aliens automatically gain control of that alliance after a set time, and there is nothing you can do about it. The 50% mark should be displayed as a greyish line across the infiltration screen
[NKF]
Until they go beyond the 50% mark, there's always a chance. It may need a little refining of your investigation strategy. What sort of investigation pattern do you use from the moment the aliens are dropped into a building? And what do you do after clearing the site? - NKF Edited October 8, 2005 by NKF
Outlawstar15a2
I don't know about that after 50% thing. I've had organizations at 98% and with hard work and dedication I knocked it back down to 17% or lower and kept it there but you got to stay on your toes and be observant. Rhemorigher Arbeth
I agree, I've had organizations go well above the fifty percent mark and have been knocked back down to zero. I never give up on them until they're fully under the alien's influence. I just wish I could save them after they've been infiltrated.
[NKF]
I'm wondering if the infiltration rate skyrockets after it hits 50 (during ultra-fast), which is why it almost appears that they almost immediately get taken over after that? Hmm. Might be worth some experimentation. It might also be worth it to experiment on fully infiltrated organisations to see if they follow the same rules as organisations that think the aliens are their "friends", who can be recovered through two means. Attacking their enemies, or letting the aliens trample or destroy their buildings until they think the aliens are attacking them. Otherwise the best medicine is prevention. Watch the top-10 graph and keep up the patrols. - NKF
Steelion
There should be a way to reverse alien takeovers. Perhaps a few raids (against security and aliens) on their buildings to clear out the infestation.

Pocus
I don't care about infiltrations...just more stuff for me to kill. =) how you can know for sure that the building is infiltrated? Without resorting to the cheat save/load process, if you checl for aliens in an uninfiltrated org, it becomes unfriendly, which is kinda hard. Pherdnut
How many times can you investigate before it peeves somebody? Seems like they never get mad for just a couple fruitless investigations. In any case, the legit way? Kill cultists. Sell psiclone. Build and sell biotrans. Bribe. Rinse/Repeat.
[NKF]
The effects are relatively minor, so a couple of botched investigations are fine. Just don't keep doing it by wildly investigating any building owned by them over and over again. I mentioned this trick elsewhere, but a good way to guess where infiltration is occuring is to remember where the last drop site occured. I do this by sending an unmanned vehicle to each alien drop site to act as a marker of sorts. This is usually with a hoverbike since I end up with lots of them from early to mid game, or road vehicles if I've kept a Wolfhound or two (although they're better for travel to multiple sites during the initial drops). Leave these vehicles in the buildings until the infiltration is well past. After you've cleared the major drop sites, let time run in short bursts of a few hours. Stop, update and check your top-10 infiltration chart. If there are any concerning looking spikes in the chart, note which organisation it is, go back to the cityscape and bring up the overhead map. Now go to the organisation tab and select the organisation you just noted. This will highlight all the buildings owned by that organisation. The most likely spot for you to investigate will be a building that's at least a block or two away from the drop sites. If there are several, just hazard a guess, and don't worry too much about a botched investigation. Just move on and do good. After you've cleared each site, repeat this process until there are no more rising infiltration levels on the charts. If they're dropping, you can safely ignore it. If it's rising really slowly, you could leave it be for a while and it might just die off naturally. - NKF
Pocus
Thanks NKF for these good advices. I tend to be a wargamer, so I'm always using a methodical approach. My problem is that I did ONE botched investigation against Evonet I think, and they went from neutral to unfriendly. I had to dish 21 k $ to restore them to neutrality. So I was a bit disappointed that not even one false investigation is forgiven by the game.
