There isn't many sequencers for linux, but here is one Rosegarden . Or atleast i hope its sequencer, because i haven't test it yet . Tho i am pretty sure you already found this program, as it pops out first when searching with google. And as you probably noticed, vsti (virtual studio technology instrument) can emulate instuments, be softsynths and so on. Tho free ones usually aren't very good. Also here is link to pretty decent realdrum wavepack and the best part of it is, that they offer it totally free to do what you want with it.

IMO in inteceptor theme there certainly should be metal flavors and your interceptor theme deliveres quites nicely, but drums need much more power as i barely can hear them. Also i would add little more variation to the guitar between 0.22-1.00.

For composing you could use ie Reason , Cubase , FL studio aka old fruity loops , Renoise just to name a few. Download the demos and see what fits you. Then you would need either sound samples or software synths. Most composing softwares comes with some kind of samplepack or vst. Some free softsynths can be found at here. . For raw wav/sound editing i personally use audacity , because it's free and easy enough to use.

USS Constitution is my guess. HMS Victory is much older ship if i can remember correctly (few decades) and Constitution had bad habit of sinking and capturing British ships. Also USS Constitution is still today in sailing condition.

Finishing this will take awhile, because few weeks ago i managed to fry my computer . I am now earning money to buy new and better one, but that isnt going to happen anytime soon(in a month maybe). Anyway, is there any need to finish this anymore? If every soundtrack in the game is based on the new maintheme. Just wondering...

Here is my "latest". Actually this song was made in july, i just added few touches to it today. This should loop quite perfectly, if i havent made a huge mistake somewhere . Hi there, Just stopped by to tell that i am still alive . I have been working with some new music and upgraded old stuff, if there is still need. Anyway its nice to see what great progress this project has taken.

This was done hastly few weeks ago for the alpha and i really havent have time to fix it (ending and few of the flow problems), but with your feedback i hopefully now can do some improvements to it. My xnet tune This is actually remake of my older xenocide tune, guess what that tune is Ill do the final mastering to this when i get my new headphones (woohoo sennheiser hd25), my old headphones are just plain crap and my speakers in that area suck too .

This really captures the original ufos music mood perfectly . Maybe you could put little less reverb to the drums, but in overall this sounds great. Can you encode this to ogg and post it here or send it to my email so i can put it on the ftp server.
