  1. PX keeled over a long while back from what I remember. It regrettably passed me by, as I was mostly living in a lab during that period.
  2. Hey all Party time? I am afraid I have no clue about assets and so forth, so am glad someone in the know has responded. Awesome to see a few people from the past though.
  3. The very fact that places like this exist are testament to the changes people believe are necessary, and not just a clone of the original. Quirks and bugs aside, like for example the inability to order soldiers on a transport ship, there is so much that the game could grow into. A more complex tech tree (that actually works! ), more ship types, more weapon types, more alien types, a longer storyline.... endless ideas they could roll with. None of these would materially change the game, but make it more immersive.
  4. Since when did that stop anyone in the industry today? Ohhhhhh ROFL
  5. God DAMN you NKF. I race half way across the ENTIRE internet after learning of this, high tailing it back here, and you STILL beat me. The link I have: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive...my-unknown.aspx Not heard of this magazine before, so not sure if I can get it here, but I will try to, at all costs. After nearly two decades.... someone poke me... am I dreaming?!
  6. Just found out about this. Saw the trailer for it, am truly disappointed indeed. Shocking to think they can even conceive of doing this. Looks like they've crossed XCOM 3 with X files, via 2001 a space odyessy and mashed it all up completely. Don't get the poor graphics either, not that I'm a graphics person, but if you're going to make a new game with FPS focus and not look at the graphics as a top priority. Overall, I wonder where the heck this will fit into the scheme of things.
  7. How's that for timing. I dropped out round about the time you were discussing this. My drug of choice these days is EVE Online. Hardly better in terms of productivity, but whatever, its relaxing enough. So, seen any good tumbleweed recently?
  8. Hey guys, I see things have taken a turn for the worse, shame Got to say, this place was the first I inhabited, and the reason I am a net addict. I blame Micah, obviously. ROFL
  9. Oh now I remember the casino.... as I said it has been a while Stewart> Am fine, fine, trundling through the education system, same old, same old really. And yes, you were evil, but we all feared and respected you for that, mostly feared, but hey, why break a winning strategy? I got hit by another reported post, so I wandered back to see what all the fuss is about Anyhow, how is everyone, everything? I feel so dirty for having a mildly important conversation in the SPAM thread, but oh well, I suppose there are worse things to do.
  10. Problem is you actually have to attempt to enter the closet before you see the alien, its a similar circumstance to where you can't see through a fence on certain occasions on Enemy Unknown, a quirk of the system (read as BUUUUUUUUUUUUG! )
  11. Casino? Mind refreshing an old mind? And where is that lovable rogue admin?
  12. Quite frequently one alien likes to hide in a one tile closet, and doesn't move. Equally frequently, this alien would love for you to find it so it can reaction fire an entire squad dead too. I believe there are various editors which can show you the entire map, where aliens are etc, but I can't recall them off the top of my head, sorry. Have a poke around the TFTF forums here.
  13. To that end then, I must return in order to obliviate any vestiges of the ruinous situation that you all find yourselves in. I have given you three years headstart, yet I still remain one of the most prolific wafflers in this here establishment, shame, for SHAME! Seriously though, good to see some familiar faces about the place!
  14. Welcome back; your last visit was: Sep 10 2007, 02:52 PM Just finished skimming 55 pages of new threads since my last visit ROFL Damn I've missed these emotes... Anyhow, I'm fine, losing more and more motivation by the day to actually do any work, and steadily getting sucked into more and more distractions.
