I use ufo2000-0.7.1086.
Whatever I do, it keeps prompting "Some of the soldiers selected for battle are equipped with forbidden weapons" can refuses to start game. Am I doing something wrong?

Do CTRL + left-click on any one of your soldiers and take away any weapons that are not currently allowed. Forbidden weapons are highlighted in red inside the equip screen.

specifically 'forbidden weapons' are any weapons that you have chosen that are NOT part of the currently chosen weapon set.

only one at a time can be played with.
