  1. Sorry about the long delay, guys... Just now i'm coming back to real world after the vacation break. Here's my setup: Software: Reason 2.5, Sound Forge, Fruity Loops 4.5 DESKTOP: - 1.2Ghz - 512MB RAM - 60GB HD - Crappy Soundblaster Live! + Live!DRIVE INPUT: - Evolution UC-16 knob pad - And a CLASSIC Yamaha PSR-83(!) keyboard for MIDI - Rigged Fender Squier + Dunlop Crybaby Wah + BOSS Turbo Overdrive + Ibanez TubeScreamer + Crate GFX-15 + NO DECENT SOUNDBOARD TO RECORD! OUTPUT: - A very trustworthy PANASONIC Discman headphone (you know i'm joking, don't you? I mean... about the "trustworthy" part) I'm no good at master nor mixing, which leaves me with only with my crappy composing... that's ME!
  2. Hi guys! I'm here to suggest a direction to the soundtrack production. It is something thats going on my mind and i want to know your opinions on this. I'm a little new to the forums so i don't know if this has already been discussed. The way i see it, we are working on this ONE song, which is, the song that we believe will fit on the Xenocide battle atmosphere, bring up the emotions that we feel playing the original games or watching horror/suspense movies. This, of course, will bring us a lot of good stuff, but i think that maybe in the end the connection between what we see and what we hear in the game will be a little weird. What i want to say to you is that we got to think of the nuances of the game, its diversity, which lies on the different scenarios. The soundtrack have to fulfill specific scenarios, songs for jungles, rural areas, icy, desert, urban, mountain, beach, not just a battle song. This will of course need a little more work and imagination of us, but sure will give more to the game in its wholeness. that's it. Bye! Guile
  3. Sorry about that guys... Uploaded it to Rapidshare and my personal space on Terra, the links follow Groundbattle Terra Groundbattle RapidShare Hope it works...
  4. Just one more thing IF someone wants to do this with me. I'm currently using Reason 2.5 to do it and atex told me that it cant open v3.0 songs, so there's this limitation. Bye! Guile
  5. Hi, sound people! Here's the music i've been working on for the groundbattles. I would like to know what do you think about it. Plz remember its still a sketch (pretty much a bunch of ideas together ) so don't expect something incredible, ok? Plus i kinda suck on the rythm section AND equalizing so maybe i can find a partner on this one, any volunteers? Guile PS: If the attachment doesn't follow here's a mirror: Groundbattle 1 (MEGAUPLOAD)
  6. First, congratulations to all participants. Very, very good themes. Unfortunately we have to choose just one for main theme... Well, My vote goes to Entry #3 Why? Because it has a lot of action feeling to it and still keeps the sci-fi ambience. Plus, it has very rich melodic parts that can be dismantled in subparts, something very useful when we start to make the tracks based on the main theme. Bring it on, leit motif! That's all.
  7. I would like to help you guys with SFX/MUSIC... send me a note!
