  1. Autocannon w/ incindery ammo, VERY good for lighting up an area during night missions. Rocket launcher with large rockets 'cause it's just so damn destructive: *Alien hides in shop* Hehehhhh, youuu can't get me! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! *No more shop* But not quite so insane as the Blaster launcher: *Alien hides in shop* Hehehhhh, youuu can't get me! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! *No more shop... or street, or buildings next to shop, or buildings on the map, or civilians*
  2. You can check buildings before the alert goes off. Just fly to the building you suspect and click the investigate button. Just make sure you know there's aliens in there, or the company that owns said building gets ticked off for the unwanted intrusion. Just check a building the very second you see a ship beam aliens down into it, and you'll prevent a widespread dispersal. I got into a situation like that once... practically every building in the city harbouring aliens, and the government kept getting taken over and cutting my funding every time ireloaded the game. So i took my men and flew to every damn government building in the city one after the other (No returning to base!) wiping out as much alien filth as was possible, then did the same for the rest of the city. Government got friendly again, i earned literally around 10 million bucks from salvage and funding upgrades, and my men ended up 'arder than coffin nails (Had one guy: a 97% firing accuracy, on auto shot, while wielding TWO disruptor cannons)
  3. Hmm... you can crouch while flying. Your soldier doesn't appear to change positon, but you use time units and get the accuracy bonus. ... that's just about the only exploit i've discovered :s
  4. Aliens have a nasty habit of remembering where your soldiers were standing, and they'll attempt to MC the space where they last remember your soldiers were. If someone gets MC'd, as soon as you gain control of him again, move him. If not, he'll just be caught again.
  5. Just out of idle curiousity - the playstation version had a fifth geoscape track that played when you accessed the base screen. I don't suppose it's possible to implement that at all? Not that i'm desperate for it or anything, i just happened to think it was a cool track
  6. You can also move up and down by shifting the camera elevation to the level you wish to go to, and clicking just as if you were telling your soldier to walk somewhere. Occasionally your soldier might do something stupid like run off to find another lift, but it usually woerks
  7. Eh... I did everything and the music works fine. However, i was originally using the 'xcom1fix' executable in order to fix the major graphics gyp-up that happens under windows xp - if i run the game from 'launcher.exe' it's back to square one with the graphics problem. I don't suppose there's another way around this?
  8. I found this a couple weeks ago... played about 9 games now. Won 2, quit one (Vs. Plasma. He knows how to corner someone ) and lost 7 due to my shoddy connection going belly-up. Grr... Mucho fun though
  9. Yeah, ufo 2 aliens be cool. Do you think the unique weapons of the aliens (For example, chryssalid's claw, tentaculat's tentacles) will be available for use? I wanna make me some zombies >: ).
