I have Xcom 1 Enemy Unknown, DOS version which runs under Dosbox. However, I find it frustrating that i cannot open the door when the soldier faces the door without going in directly and getting reaction attack from aliens. Then i lose soldiers... Is there a button which allows u to open doors to have a look without walking in directly? I tried clicking the right mouse button which works for TFTD but for this game, it doesnt! Can anyone help please?

I've reinstalled the xcom, patched it up to V2, and installed xcomutil. Made no difference. However, i took on aboard your comments, and indeed i did have those files, and copied the .pck, .tab files from triton into /terrain folder and renamed it as barracud.pck and tab. the end result is that it finally works!!! Maybe there is a flaw within XcomUtil not moving and copying files correctly for the version of game i have got?

Thanks for your reply, i have indeed checked for the files, and i do have those files, triton files in map, pck, and tab types as well. the xcomutil does incorporate new files which is also there in the folders. maybe it is not utilised properly? does triton files have an effect on using barracuda for use with missions? However, i will redownload xcomutil and install it again and fully look into it properly and see what happens.

Do u have any problems using the xcomutil? what bout using barracuda for crew missions? does it work then? it doesnt seem to work on mine

I use it on a laptop which has 111 MB RAM!!! it works perfectly fine as long u use Dosbox 0.70, which i allocated 32Mb for Dosbox to use, and it has 1Ghz processor. however, Dosbox will help slow down the speed of the game so it doesnt matter much on high spec laptops

I have been a fan of TFTD for many years, since recently i've installed XcomUtil to try it out. However, when this happens, this enables Barracuda transport to carry soldiers. I tried it by sending a barracuda to a terror site with crew, and when it switches to Tactical.exe, it jams up and says "cannot find terrian/barracud.map" or barracud.pck or parracud.tab i've tried to re-install XcomUtil and TFTD numberous times but no luck i am using TFTD Dos Version 2.0 Does anyone have these files that i require?? Many thanks
