what I do is send an interceptor on regular patrol over areas i dont have radar coverage..this is ussually the USA or europe only in the early game but later when I have more bases and therefore more interceptors I can send them more places..... they are not as effective as a permanent radar station but they will detect ufos occasionally....:-) EDIT: first post here and didn't mean to quote stewart but there it is :-P
