Hey team I thought I would just send out a warning about a virus a contracted from downloading ufo content. The UFO2000 beta files were compromised but judging by the amount of people that use UFO2000 I doubt that it was the source of the infection. The Virus was Vista antispyware 2012 and it poses as a spyware scanner and does a FAKE check on your computer and tells you that you are in grave danger of having your private info stollen amongst other scare-ware tactics. It is trying to get you to buy a FAKE tool to remove the infection but the are just after your card details. DO NOT BE FOOLED. It is a very powerfull virus. It will block you from accessing the internet and your virus checker to find out what it is and how to get rid of it. The files related to XCOM I recently downloaded were; The TFTD soundtrack http://www.zophar.net/music/psf/x-com-terr...m-the-deep.html The TFTD soundtrack again http://www.strategycore.co.uk/files/index.php?dlid=227 (unlikely) TFTD From steam's own website, highly unlikely These files were all infected but, I cannot be sure if any of them were the cause. But in any case be carefull.

Is there a walkthrough to help me get started with this game. One major issue I have is when it asks me for a password and username before it tries to connect to a server. I could really use some help and I would love to play the game against someone. Oh and what is the latest version of the game I can download. I have a beta atm.

Just to update Hatfarm has fixed my problem with installing the hack. I needed to use a rar extracter on the installer.

Hey guys i'm new to this site and I could really do with some friendly help. I am a long term Xcom fan Since I played the demo on a floppy disk in 94/95 I knew I had to get the full game. Okay I've been playing allot recently and I have been installing various mod programs and I really want to use this one so I can customise games etc. The problem is I am not very mod savvy and could use some help on exactaly what to do to get the program working from unzipping the file. I have tried copying the file into the xcom folder but I get an error message that says TABCTL32.OXC is missing some dependencys or is missing file data. As I say I am okay with computers so I can understand how to tdo some stuff but when it comes to modding i'm a bi out of my depth. I look forward to hearing from anyone who can help.
