Yes well I ALREDY LOOKED AT THOSE PAGES WHICH BRINGS ME BACK TO MY FIRST QUESTION. the interceptor is counted as being done but not finalised. Either that or my IE isnt showing the colour green. Click on the interceptor link and its counted as open. so excusebloodly me for my questions and I will repeat my previous question. How am I spose to know who is doing what? Lastly as its not finalised the site itself which I beleive Breunor wrote says its fair game for anyone. sooo if it is finalised...perhaps that should be reflected on the assetlist. Actually they are 16G at most, and they have a Low GPS as higher rates broke or killed the human. Even now eject 1-2 times and you can never fly or be put under high g again. anything over 800gps and your gonna get hurt bad. GPS=Gz per second. Humans are quite good as resisting G for very short periods of time as you said. Ejection seats are about 16g at 1/50th of a second at a rate of 800gps.

Well I guess you can do the alien armor thing....but you have to make sure they have got alien armor by then. Some games in UFO I wouldnt get a ground mission before I got laser cannons cause everytime I shot a UFO down it was over water

good point but the simple fact, if a Better model is generated first ...that should be taken over the agreed one. The fact the "FINISHED" version isnt textured is a load of crap...textureing is what takes the longest(Setting UV out ETC) Creating a low poly plane takes a good 10-30 mins of time. This is what your saying, I made a model..someone else can texture it. Well guess what I suck at textures...Yet I could create a model and texture it within a week less if I have more spare time. Untill a finished model is given to the project..infleablity is rather silly. That is my opinion, however I do see the need for a solidfoundation as people can get tried up doing the same models ETC and alot of wasted effort can be generated. Finish the model, and I would have no argument, but the fact its not finished and if someone came up with a better quality design your unwilling to use it.(Eg same base f-22 lower polies ETC..) On a side note the ammount of threads around would waste more of my time reading, when a summy could be written. Infact I could create quite a few models instead of having to read long posts. So consider that. Quite frankly if someone just sent me a E.mail asking what I could do...and then afterwards, tell me what they wanted me to make I would be much happier then having to sort though crap to find out what people are already doing. We have indurstrial lasers right now then can burn far more then 5cm into steal in a few seconds yet a solid carbon plate would slow them right down. Fluff txt is like I think Field tests have shown the Laser Cannon to be extremly effective up to 5km range able to burn though a 35mm carbon heat shield in under a second. Unlike normal lasers which after initial reaction with a target get deflected and refracted by the vaporised meterials, it uses a puse fire which fires many hundreds of times in a single shot, both saving energy and helping to overcome the refraction propties of gasses, even the most dense and conducting materials will be damaged before the heat can dissipate though the object. The cannons best points however are its Extremly high Damage/weight ratio, 0 kick back, no need for the pliot to caculate deflection angles and lead a target like with a cannon system since the Laser is near enouth as instant at such close ranges. The cannon has been unoffcialy labed the Zeus, as when fired it heats random air particles sufficently to create a lightingbolt effect that is rather impressive if one is not expecting it.

well you should reread then its there, or on one of the links of that page it has internal and external weapons points..just like the f-22. Neversaid it could out perform the JSF, but the JSF and the F-22 were designed for diffrent things, the Mig-35 just happens to have strike capablites aswell. the JSF is actually being developed to cover the things the f-22 cant do. Ohh just a little tadbit aswell. Countries with advanced radar systems have no trouble detecting stealth craft. How? well...a Steath Craft creates a hole in a radar grid when the emiter and reciver are put apart from each other.

Kenshiro Yes but your forgetting the fact micrometors travel ALOT faster then even the railgun could generate... Shields as suggest does solve the problem thou....say atmosphere stops them working, so thats why our little alien friends can fly though space avoiding all the dangers...get to earth and get shot down by some cannon rounds

Seems I did play Xcom1 Seems I said that because of the fact in XCOM they just fly straight. Actually, some Sabot rounds used agasint tanks end up putting tungsten core into the tank that has become molton from the forces involved...and molton metal inside a object does ALOT of damage Hollow point rounds are a good EXAMPLE, if you ever hunt rabbits for food you use a .22 solid tip..if your hunting just to kill them to control their numbers you use a .22 hollowpoint. a .22 doesnt do much damage to a rabbit...a .22 using a hollow point blows its head off Size isnt to important...its what the round does after it hits...most cannon rounds have explosive shells now so take that into account. Hollow stips bow the crap out of a rabbit I was wrong on the firetime not sure why I wrote .5 5 seconds on the f-18. Not sure what I was thinking, musta been temporay insanity thou it depends on the craft and weapon(lets assume its the m61) F-18 carry 578 F-15 a-d carry 960 rounds f-14 also carries the vulcan but damnned if I can remember ammo capacity. Firerate is 7200rpm for the vulcan it can also switch to 6000 and 4000 rpm depending on type of target its attacking.

Im totaly agasint random things as described by the majoirty. Remember xcom1 when you had got everything you needed and knew you had to goto mars...got your squads all beefed up with Football bombs PSI amps and proxi grenades. ALl was left was the damn advenger to finish. Yet you had to keep intercepting UFO and doing the missions because if you didnt you could very well fail the monthy refiance and lose the game. Random events should not stop main gameplay in anyway..and should if the player wishes just skiped. EG Message Pops up 1.Alien in captivty escaped, base personal can kill the creature or would you like to take control of the mission sir to try to recapture it? 2.Reports have come in that aliens have infiltraited govement X If WE attack now we could destroy all subverted personal and perhaps even earn a cash bonus. 3.Funding nation Y has come under heavy atack recently from terroroists, a entire city block has been seized and local govement forces have been forced back. If we send in a Xcom team and save the hostages we could form a lasting relationship with the country and perhaps earn a increase in funding or cash bonus. 4.WE have gathered information that Country X has captured alien tech and are currently researching it, this research could be very valuable...if we can get a team in and out undetected we could advance our own research into ______ to near completion. All can be skiped...all offer something if taken..and dont really do anything if not taken.

Think about it....they have to keep things HUSH HUSH....they cant just let the guy go. This would be intresting... FOr missins not only do you have to kill the aliens..you have to make sure no civs can escape...so they can be processed wipe their memories ETC something like MIB

I brought this problem up for the normal Human Tech Interceptor. As it stands a few planes today have their turn and roll rates limited so the pilot inside isnt hurt. Its no longer what a machine can do..but what the human inside it can handle. Same with tanks nowdays...its much easier just hitting a tank with a big enouth blast all soft targets inside are killed then actually trying to penetrate the tanks armor. Having remote craft allow for it to be hacked...so unless you have good AI in the craft you need a human inside it. It should be invented that humans descover inertia dampeners(fields) While we dont understand them very well we can use them. This would also explain why we could understand the aliens E-115 so quickly...its doing what were already know "SHOULD" be possible and been trying to do ourselves. Infact the XC-1 could use a prototype dampener field. Gravity also travels at light speed...so you cant use it as a dampener...if it was instant you could because then it could keep the pilots atoms acclerating ETC together rather then at diffrent speeds and bsaicly tearing him apart. Actually I think the entire subject deserves its own thread.

You know your missing a rather cool thing at having civ forces. Mr Cop and squad get a call, they show up and his entire squad gets wiped out by Plasma fire... But Mr Cop has natual instincts for survival and when that alien grenade landed at his feet...he picked it up and threw it right bloodly back into the bushes it came from. He Pulls out his Pistol and thinks Faaarrrk and hides in a little corner between some garbage cans untill he can work out what the heck is going on. sometime later he hears what sounds like fighting..comming out he sees Stragely clad humans fighting monster weird looking things. One of the weird looking things comes his way, and he puts 3 rounds into its Big grey head and it drops like a rock. While behind him Mr Xcom comes up and Stuns him with a stun rod...sticks him in the sky ranger...and now Xcom is up a soldier maybe unwilling...but sure that can be changed

If I was a superfrantic and knew anything about airplanes these are a Few points which are I would have problems with. 1.You know with moden jets there 500 supply of cannon ammo is only enouth for about a continued .5 second burst. Do you know why they fire so fast? Because jet fighters were flying between the rounds of machineguns. Thats right BETWEEN. UFO are hyperfast compared to moden jets am I to assume...so your going to need something that fires even faster. 2 Your American I guess? You sure loved your brownings in worldwar2 However most aircombat was actually done with 20mm cannons and 13mm cannon(.50=13mm~)....no it wasnt a .50 cal it was a cannon not a machinegun..lower speed per round, heavier round. Allied combat was mostly 50cal, early on, and with american planes, Tempest however is a good British plane later in the war 4 20mm cannons BOY did the germans hate that baby. 3.You get less kickback and higher damage potenial with smaller rounds at a higher velocity, the reason for this is when a bullet is shot..it actually acclerates over a % of a second...when it hits something it basicly has stops in a instant. 4.Rail guns dont have to be slow, what limits them in the real world is power, and the need to charge capastciers(sorry about the spelling) To power the electromagnets. Since the interceptor is spose to be using hydrogen cells the engine could power the Electromagnets directly resulting is a continus and very rapid firerate...and as about 4/5 of cannon rounds is the cart and powder this will allow for a much higher ammo capacity. If you wanted to use large shells, have 2 rail guns at a time using spiral barrals *think of a phonecord* and have them reversed to each other. So as one electromagnet fires right and pushes the round in barral 1.....electromagnet fires left and pushes the round in barral2 bringing basicly a net kickback force of 0 to the fighter:) 5.Ufo can travel though space and not get destroyed by micro metors, so something more then just kentic weapons have to be used. Electro magnets generate heat when a magnetic object passes though the field. You could in theroy use it to Generate and fire plasma... But as were hunmans and the ALiens have plasma.....maybe just molton rounds of firey death so we can penetrate their hulls

instead of an attack...how about scouting around your base...eg say your underground... They know your AROUND somewhere so they send scouting parties. If you let a member of a scouting party escape..they locate your base and invade.

Err mistakes Major one I saw. Combined with variable control configuration technology and the ability to Vector in Forward Flight (VIFF), the XC-1 is agile beyond what was previously thought possible. As Planes exisit now with the ablity to make any soft substances inside(HUMAN) Go Splat under G the Plane itself can withstand I some form of enertia dampeners..or funnels need to be added. Funnels? kinda like pushing Enertia away...so you could send it to other parts of the craft instead of the piot...in effect if you wanted to spin right..you could have it diverted to the right wing where it applies the force and spins the plane....thou it contradicts the energy conversation law it sounds cool Long time since have had reason to recall g-force effects but its something like this. 1-9G most people remain concious 9-13G some people are capable of Withstanding and staying concious 13+g blood vessal and internal organs rupture 18+g Cell walls compltely collapse person is now MUSH. for negatve g anything over 5 maybe 6 causes brain hammerage and aything over like 3 gives the pilot redout. Thats why when Ever you see planes they always turn to drive so the pilot is in a postive G postion. Facing aliens this would propose a extreme disadvantage agasint a craft capable of massive pos and neg g's About the only thing I can think of is having a person in a aqua cockpit. Submersed in water and put under extreme pressure to the extent the air being fed to them is actually a liquid. This would allow higher G rates to be preformed but to what measure have no idea..maybe 1g maybe 10. basicly it would be equalising the pressure though the entire body..unlike Gsuits which basicly just squeeze the legs to stop blood running into them.
