  1. I started playing Pardus again. I remember discovering it because of this forum. I kind of miss being so young and unaccustomed to the internet hahaha
  2. I did answer no, but I guess it has something to do with an error xcomutil gave me to a previous question I didn't know about the error before, I was just running it again and after that error I just decided to reinstall
  3. Nice flanking maneuver in the first video, and it's a shame the rocket hit that hard in the second. Nice recovery though, it's always nice to end with some burnination.
  4. Also, I would prefer to play exclusively with the X-COM 1 or X-COM 2 weapon sets, I don't care for the custom weapons that much
  5. Just posting to say I like the videos, I always enjoy watching X-com and the mod just looks awesome
  6. This worked perfectly, thank you very much for posting
  7. If a gun uses the magazine in it at all then that magazine is discarded at the end of a mission. As for only finding plasma pistols, what are you scores like? If you're scoring pretty low I think the game will go easier on you, at least that's what it does in Apoc
  8. I don't want the UFO floorplans to be randomized, so I said N to that, but every game I start has the same randomized scout floorplan. Is this because I did randomize it at one point? Also, how can I set it back to default? Edit: I just reinstalled X-COM to fix it
  9. I'll play UFO 2000 or UFO/TFTD with save swapping with anyone, my aim is Mustang678203 and my xfire is mustang678 if anyone wants a game
  10. On a random note, if a hostile organization has aliens in their building and you find them, they and the aliens will work together against you in the battlescape
  11. Mustang

    Stat Strings

The ones that appear in your soldiers' names? Those appear after they run a mission
  12. When I used Midnight the UFOs and battlescape still shot me on sight
  13. You can use an editor to make the aliens allied with you, but they're still totally hostile in game. I think it's only a coincidence that they're hitting those organizations, and those organizations had their property damaged by the aliens to shift them away from neutral Are you searching the enemy organizations' buildings manually? They don't report aliens if you're hostile if I remember correctly
  14. I've found another alternative. This editor allows you to edit your base's alien containment, just go in and add a Deep One Terrorist and you should be fine. http://devisraad.com/xcom/xcom.htm The bug seems to make the live deep ones totally unrecoverable but the editor forces it to be there and available for research. Edit: I just confirmed it with the save I kept from before I wiped my research tree. Using this editor to add the Deep One will fix the bug.
  15. Let it be known that on June 1, 2040, the X-COM research computers suffered a catastrophic failure and all data was destroyed. Along with this, everyone has suddenly forgotten everything they've learned about alien technology. It worked perfectly, I just had to finish a cruise ship mission before I could try it. Hopefully I can finish sonic cannon + cannon power clip in time for the next mission Thank you very much, NKF
  16. I've just had a thought, does the PSX version of UFO suffer from the difficulty bug? The one that makes every difficulty beginner
  17. What I read said that disc swapping for PAL -> NTSC made the game flicker and have the bottom chunk of the screen missing, but I did read about getting a VCR that could transfer PAL signals to NTSC TVs, so I could probably buy that and combine both methods if it's not too pricey.
  18. I've been playing X-Com 2 just because the difficulty keeps things interesting but the tech tree bugs have been killing me since I was a kid. I would prefer TFTD if it didn't have so many issues, but the fact that UFO is just flawless except for being a bit easy gives it my vote
  19. I'm only in the middle of May, I've got all the stuff before Ion armor researched + Gauss up to heavy gauss clip and all of the sonic weapons + thermal shock launchers added in with random aliens. Also, MC Lab + MC Reader and the aliens I needed to research them I've got 100 scientists working round the clock so I think I may be able to do that, but first I'll have to get some replacement weapons. I'll post the results tomorrow sometime
  20. You might be able to get a mod chip to play PAL formatted PSX games on an otherwise NTSC machine, but I'm not sure if a US NTSC television will be able to show the images due to differences in refresh rates. So it may not do you any good getting a mod chip. Then again, someone has to have found a way to do this by now. If anyone knows for sure, please let me know. TFTD was never released for the PSX in the United States. It was only released in PAL format. So don't bother searching for it - it doesn't exist. - Zombie Well, that sucks, I'll try researching about running PAL games and get back to this sometime
  21. I've captured another live deep one, but it didn't appear in the research menu. I tried the patcher you linked but it doesn't detect any bugs. Is there anything else I can do or am I screwed?
  22. Thank you again, NKF, I'm really indebted to you
